Quietly building his own scene for the last 8 years or so, Deni Gauthier has been delighting audiences all over Canada, the United States, and Europe. His beautiful voice and lush ambient guitar playing, layered with just the right amount of understated live looping create a sonic soundscape quite like his last two studio albums: Quiet Town and Passenger.

From a quiet whisper, sometimes with a firm nudge, Deni is able to somehow connect musically and lyrically with songs that wander along the path of the strangely beautiful things in life. Old love, broken relationships, people trying to find their way... Dark yet beautiful, simple yet entangling.

Deni can be heard all over CBC and independent radio and has charted throughout Canada and the States with several #1 positions. If he is not working in his own studio he can be found on the road, sharing stories and songs to listening audiences sitting quietly and comfortably somewhere.

Having shared the stage with the likes of Jason Collette, Ron James, Barney Bental, Linda McRae, Irish Mythen, Steve Forbert and so many others, Deni’s performance skills have been honed and refined through seasoning to offer a unique live musical experience.

“... his voice is a beautiful fusion of a softer version of John Legend and the soulfulness of Dallas Green. His sweeping vocal range was best displayed in the folky tune, “Do You Trust Me”, featuring alluring melodies over chiming guitar riffs. -Nicole Wolfe, Canadian Beats

“A major talent worthy of greater exposure.”- New Canadian Music

"Deni's songs are layered with loops, a bed of ambiance and modern sounds, over which we get his beautiful words and voice. Seriously, this guy has Glenn Frey beat for sheer emotion. It would be folly to surround his pipes with anything but the loveliest harmonies, and prettiest keyboards." Bob Mersereau.

“Deni Gauthier blessed our ears... we didn't get enough photos in time. We were too enthralled by his poetic lyrics that neatly interweaved with mesmerizing loops and harmonies.” -Sofar Sounds

“His musical quest for meaning and understanding are transformative and inclusive. As he quips self- effacingly in the description of one of his songs, Deni Gauthier is "the artist" forging meaning from a troubled and confusing world. I left last night's concert a little more connected and at peace with myself than when I arrived." - Jamie Oppenheimer, Hunters Bay Radio

"His song, Let Me Go, off his, self produced album, Passenger, is both innocent and haunting. His voice is smooth and comforting, sentimental and soul exposing. He’s a master at looping, creating ethereal layers to his music, just enough to evoke even more emotion than he does lyrically. Like a free floating feather, Deni’s music takes us on a journey of his path in life and shows us a little bit of ourselves in the process. Check out Let Me Go, along with the rest of the album below. I’m not crying, I just have allergies...I swear." Lauren Weissle
